Caballeros - Punto Rojo 75-90

Punto Rojo celebrated National League title. They cruised past Caballeros to complete the sweep of the championship series. The game was mostly controlled by Punto Rojo. Caballeros managed to win fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Caballeros 50-30 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Punto Rojo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Argentinian Pablo Alderete (198-1993) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!). Abraham Barahona (198-2003) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Martin Martinez (182-1995) replied with 11 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals and American Kelly Hinds (-1995) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Caballeros. Four Caballeros players scored in double figures.
