Liga Basquet Pro 2023 - Paul Marigney (ex Toros) joins IMP Alvarado

IMP Alvarado (Liga Basquet Pro) agreed terms with experienced 40-year old American guard Paul Marigney (191cm-92kg-1982, college: St.Mary's, CA) for new 2023 season. Marigney moved there from Toros in Mexican LBP league where he started the season. He missed last season and had one year break from professional basketball.
Marigney is quite experienced player. Marigney's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in seven different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. Marigney has played previously professionally in France (JDA Dijon), Israel (Hapoel Beer Sheva and Elitzur Maccabi Netanya), Italy (Reggio Emilia, Pavia Basket, Ferrara and Veroli), Lebanon (Sagesse), Venezuela (Cocodrilos), Mexico (Tijuana Zonkeys, Barreteros, Ostioneros de Guaymas and Cerveceros) and Ecuador (Juvenil). His team made it to the CIBACOPA Semifinals in 2016 and 2017.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Ecuadorian National League Player of the Year and Latinbasket.com All-Ecuadorian National League Import Player of the Year back in 2018.
He graduated from Saint Mary's College of California in 2005 and it will be his 18th (!!!) season as a professional player.
On Marigney: A very athletic player, with inside and outside dimensions, even if his long distance shooting sometimes disappears. Needs to improve his defensive skills, has yet upside.
