Liga Basquet Pro 2024 - Jorge Guzman tabs Erick Mecias

Jorge Guzman CD (Liga Basquet Pro) inked 20-year old Ecuadorian 184cm guard Erick Mecias for upcoming season. Mecias moved there from Atenas in Argentinian La Liga. In three games he averaged just 2.3ppg and 2.7rpg last season.
He represented Ecuador at the South American Championship U17 in Santiago (Chile) five years ago. Mecias' team got to the Semifinals and his stats at that event were 3 games: 1.0ppg.
Mecias has played previously for two other Ecuador teams: Piratas and Oro y Grana. His team won Ecuadorian Liga Desarrollo Regular Season in 2020 and 2021. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Ecuadorian Liga Desarrollo Guard of the Year back in 2020 and 2021.
