Rojas' double-double lands him Player of the Week award

Carlos Rojas put on an amazing game in the last round for ATUC Basketball Club and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 20 points and 17 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Iccan (#3, 2-2) 69-83. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. ATUC maintains the 4th position in Ecuadorian league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 4 games and recorded no victories. Rojas just recently signed at ATUC, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Rojas has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.0ppg), assists (8th best: 2.0apg) and averages solid 55.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Mairon Cuero (190-F-1989) of league's second-best Ambato Soldiers. He is a forward in his first season at Ambato S.. In the last game Cuero recorded an impressive double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Ambato S. to edge Santa Maria (3-1) by 5 points 67-62. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Cuero is one of the most experienced players at Ambato S. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.5ppg (#1). He also registered 8.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Kevin Preciado (C-2007) of league's leader L.D.U. Santa Maria. Preciado scored 22 points. Despite Preciado's great performance the Santa Maria lost 62-67 to #2 ranked Ambato S.. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Santa Maria needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Preciado has a great season in Ecuador. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 12.0ppg (7th best).
