Jorge Guzman CD (Liga Basquet Pro) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 34-year old Cuban forward Darol Hernandez-Zinenko (207cm-95kg-1989). It is actually his comeback to Loja as he has played here before. He played last season at BK Grodno-93 in Belarusian Premier League. In 18 games he recorded 8.9ppg, 7.2rpg, 3.1apg and 1.8spg. The last summer he played at Jorge Guzman CD.
He is quite experienced player. Hernandez-Zinenko has played also professionally in Argentina (Regatas), Mexico (Lenadores), Belarus (Borisfen, BC Minsk and BGU Minsk), Cuba (Capitalinos and Capitalinos) and Ecuador (Universidad Tecnologica Equinoc. Quito, Quevedo, Iccan and IMP Alvarado). His team won Ecuadorian National League Regular Season in 2016 and 2018.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Ecuadorian National League Honorable Mention back in 2018.
