J.Guzman at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Barcelona is looking forward to face league's leader Leones in Riobamba in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. J.Guzman will play on the road against Guerreros MC in Santo Domingo and is hoping to win this game.

Liga Deportiva Univ will play at home against Piratas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cuenca BC. Zamora J. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with San Antonio G. Loser Cuenca BC keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Zamora J. will meet bottom-ranked CyC Manabi (#12) in the next round. Cuenca BC will play against IMP Alvarado (#3) and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 17: San Antonio G. lost to Piratas on the opponent's court 78-85. Spartans outscored CyC Manabi in a home game 141-87. Guerreros MC recorded a loss to IMP Alvarado on the road 72-67.



Piratas - San Antonio G. 85-78

Rather expected game in Ibarra where 8th ranked San Antonio G. (6-11) was defeated by fifth ranked Piratas (10-6) 85-78 on Monday. Piratas maintains fifth place with 10-6 record. San Antonio G. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Zamora J.. Piratas will meet higher ranked Liga Deportiva Univ (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. San Antonio G. will play against Spartans (#6) and hope to secure a win.
