Cuenca Basket Club lands Maurice Walton, ex Vllaznia

Cuenca Basket Club (Liga Basquet Pro) signed 27-year-old American 206cm forward Maurice Walton (college: BENUM). He last played at Vllaznia in Albanian Superliga. In 23 games, he was the league's fourth-best scorer with an impressive 16.6ppg and recorded 11.2rpg (leader!!!), 2.2apg, and 1.2spg last season. Walton helped them reach the cup final and the league semifinals. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Albanian League All-Imports Team, League Player of the Week (3 times), and Eurobasket.com All-Albanian League Second Team. Walton also played 5 games in Liga Unike, averaging remarkable 18.4ppg, 11.6rpg, 2.2apg, and 1.8spg.
Walton graduated from Benedictine University at Mesa in 2022 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like University of Texas Permian Basin and Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
