LNF Round 6 of Regular Season

Round 6 most important game was a victory of Cuenca over 6th ranked Importadora 71-70 on Friday night. Cuenca (2-3) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with J.Guzman and Spartans. Importadora at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. Cuenca is looking forward to face J.Guzman (#4) in Loja in the next round. Importadora will play on the road against Spartans in Quito and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Atuneros (2-2) against seventh ranked J.Guzman (2-3) on Friday night. Visiting Atuneros were crushed by J.Guzman in Loja 77-56. J.Guzman moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Cuenca and Spartans. Atuneros at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the third position with two games lost. J.Guzman will play against Cuenca (#6) on the road in the next round. Atuneros will play against the league's second-placed San Antonio G. in Machala and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Piratas (5-0) which hosted in Ibarra 4th ranked Spartans (2-3). Top-ranked Piratas managed to get a 13-point victory 87-74. Undefeated Piratas have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. Newly promoted Spartans keep the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Cuenca and J.Guzman. Piratas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Spartans will play against Importadora (#7) and hope to secure a win.
