LNF Round 7 of Regular Season

Round 7 most important game was a victory of J.Guzman over 6th ranked Cuenca 77-70 on Wednesday night. J.Guzman (3-3) moved-up to third place, which they share with San Antonio G. Cuenca at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Importadora and Spartans. J.Guzman is looking forward to face San Antonio G. (#3) in Machala in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Cuenca will play on the road against the league's leader Piratas in Ibarra and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Important game to mention about took place in Machala. Third ranked Atuneros (3-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging their biggest opponent San Antonio G. (3-3) 61-58 in the game for the second place. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Atuneros moved-up to second place. San Antonio G. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with J.Guzman. Atuneros will play against bottom-ranked Importadora (#7) in Ambato in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. San Antonio G. will play at home against J.Guzman (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
A very close game took place in Quito between Importadora and Spartans. Seventh ranked Importadora (2-4) got a very close victory on the road over 5th ranked Spartans (2-4). Importadora managed to escape with a 3-point win 71-68 in the fight for the fifth place. Importadora moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Cuenca and Spartans. Importadora will meet league's second-placed Atuneros in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spartans will have a break next round.
