Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
An interesting game for Andes (3-2) which hosted in Ibarra 3rd placed Monsters (4-2). Second ranked Andes had an easy win 100-67. Andes looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for the former international Adriano Barreras (183-1989) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 6 assists. The former international forward Alexander Guerra (196-1996) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Center Adair Quinonez (198-2009) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds for Monsters. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Andes went down to third position due to points difference. Monsters at the other side still keep top place with two games lost. They share the position with Piratas.
An interesting game for Alvarado (7-1) which played road game in against 4th placed Ambato S. (1-6). First ranked Alvarado had an easy win 92-60. Erick Mesias (-2003) stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Marvin Cairo chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Kevin Preciado (-2007) with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-1 record. Ambato S. lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Cuenca. Alvarado will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ambato S. will play on the road against Cuenca (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
In the last game of round 9 Cuenca was beaten by Iccan on the road 81-69.
The most impressive performance of 9th round was 29 points and 15 rebounds by Jaja Davis of Cuenca.
