Barreras' 28 points and 6 assists give him Player of the Week award

36-year old Cuban shooting guard Adriano Barreras (183-SG-1989) had a great game in the last round for Andes B.C. Ibarra and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He had the game-high 28 points adding three rebounds and six assists for Andes in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Monsters (#2, 4-2) with 33-point margin 100-67. Thanks to this victory Andes moved-up to the 3rd position in Ecuadorian league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Andes will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Barreras had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Andes' top player in his first season with the team. Barreras has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 20.3ppg) and assists (5th best: 3.5apg).

Second best performed player last round was Jaja Davis (196-F/C-1995) of Henko Cuenca. He is American forward in his first season at Cuenca. In the last game Davis recorded an impressive double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Cuenca lost that game 69-81 to slightly higher-ranked Iccan (#3, 3-5). Cuenca managed to keep the same 5th spot in Group B. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Cuenca managed to get this year. Davis is one of the most experienced players at Cuenca and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Andes' star - forward Jeanhison Rosales (F-2002). Rosales scored 18 points. He was another key player of Andes B.C. Ibarra, helping his team with a 100-67 easy win against #2 ranked Monsters in a game of the week. Andes needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in Group A. Their record at this point is 3 victories and 2 lost games. Rosales has a very solid season. In 4 games in Ecuador he scored 7.8ppg.
