LNF Round 13 (Regular Season): Spartans defeat Piratas

The Regular Season in Liga Femenina just ended. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Piratas (7-4) in Quito on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Spartans (6-6) 91-78. Spartans have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with San Antonio G. Piratas lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with four games lost.
The game in Manta was also worth to mention about. Third ranked J.Guzman (7-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Atuneros (4-7). J.Guzman did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 89-71. J.Guzman moved-up to second place, which they share with Importadora. Atuneros lost third consecutive game. Atuneros at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the sixth position with seven games lost.
The game in Cuenca was also quite interesting. Second ranked Importadora (7-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Cuenca (4-8). Importadora managed to secure a 9-point victory 68-59 on Friday. Newly promoted Importadora maintains second place with 7-5 record having just one point less than leader Piratas, which they share with J.Guzman. Cuenca at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with eight games lost.
