The best player for the winners was American guard Paul Marigney (191-1982, college: SMC) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Five Alvarado players scored in double figures. Alvarado's coach Lucas Gil felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Michael Kirkland (203-1998, college: BENUM, agency: Fully Feared Sports) produced 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import power forward Jaja Davis (196-1995, college: Montreat) added 26 points and 18 rebounds respectively for the guests.
