Brujos Izalco - Aguila 85-55 Quezaltepeque - San Salvador 93-88 Quezaltepeque topped San Salvador in Game 1. The game was dominated by American players. It was a very good performance for Eddie Ishman (196-86, college: Miles) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Anthony Brown (196-89, college: Imperial Valley JC) contributed with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward James Milton (204-92, college: Stevenson) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and forward RJ McGhee (198, college: Oklahoma City) added 23 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for San Salvador. Four Quezaltepeque and five San Salvador players scored in double figures. San Salvador's coach Yull Scott rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cuban Yuniskel Molina (177-93) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. American forward Marcus Faison (196-94, college: Salem St.) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import power forward Darian Barnes (206-93, college: Neumann) added 16 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
