Nejapa - Izalco 81-69 Nejapa's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Izalco (1-6) 81-69. Nejapa dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Izalco's 42. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Izalco was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for Felix Aleman (-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 4 assists. Forward Julio Ramirez (175-96) helped adding 19 points and 13 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Jose Gonzalez (177-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and guard Samuel Leon (173-93) scored 17 points. Nejapa (1-4) left bottom position moving up to fourth place. It was Izalco's sixth loss in a row. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Second ranked Arce managed to get a 9-point victory 68-59. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of San Marcos. Arce dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to San Marcos' 34. They outrebounded San Marcos 55-39 including 16 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Arce made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of center Teodoro Romero (202-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points, 32 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Forward Rene Cardona (192-85) contributed with 10 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. This time they crushed fifth ranked Izalco (1-6) 67-45. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Juayua made 8 blocks. It was a quality performance for American forward Harrison Rieger (193-98) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Forward Fernando Baides (200-97) accounted for 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winning side.
