Teodoro Romero
Center Teodoro Romero (202-C-85) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Arce, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 32 rebounds, while his team beat San Marcos (#3, 3-2) 68-59. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Arce maintains the 2nd position in Salvadorean Liga Superior. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Arce will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. Romero has many years of experience at Arce, through which he has constantly improved. Teodoro Romero has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.0ppg) and averages impressive 3.0bpg and 53.4% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young American Harrison Rieger (193-F-98) of league's leader Juayua. Rieger had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led Juayua to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Izalco (#5, 1-6) 67-45. Of course Juayua still keep the league's top spot. His team has currently 6-2 record. Rieger is a newcomer at Juayua, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.1ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 17.0rpg and 3.3apg.
Third on the list of top players last round was guard Felix Aleman (SG-95) of Nejapa (#4). Aleman got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for four assists. He was a key player of Nejapa, leading his team to a 81-69 win against slightly lower-ranked Izalco (#5, 1-6). Nejapa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Aleman has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.4ppg (4th best), rebounds with 9.6rpg (5th best) and assists with 3.4apg (best passer).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
