San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Chalchuapa's players. Chalchuapa's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. San Salvador have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-1 record having 2 victories less than leader Aguila. Loser Chalchuapa stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. San Salvador will meet El Rapido (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Chalchuapa will play against the league's leader Aguila in San Miguel and hope to win that game. Brujos were defeated by Santa Ana in a tough game at home 87-96. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Brujos. Santa Ana forced 20 Brujos turnovers. Erick Rojas (183-96) scored 31 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Maurice Taylor (198-94, college: Niagara) chipped in 20 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Taylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Santa Ana players scored in double figures. Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-90, college: Millersville) responded with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks and American forward Harrison Rieger (196-98) scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Brujos' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Santa Ana moved-up to third place. Brujos at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Santa Tecla. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
