Santa Ana - Fantasmas 91-79

Santa Ana held off Fantasmas to force the decider. Santa Ana looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Maurice Taylor (198-94, college: Niagara) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists and American-Jamaican David Haye (190-94, college: SUNY Delhi) who added 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Taylor is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American guard Randy Bell (193-98, college: Dalton St.) responded with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import Nick Moore (198-91, college: Nyack) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Santa Tecla - San Salvador 87-103

San Salvador rallied past Santa Tecla to secure the semifinal berth. San Salvador shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by Dominican guard Bernardo Polanco (189-94) who scored that evening 41 points (!!!) and American point guard Marquise Mosley (175-97, college: Biola, CA, agency: BIG) supported him with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Even a double-double of 27 points and 20 rebounds by Vincentian center Akeme Smart (218-91, college: McCook CC) did not help to save the game for Santa Tecla. American swingman Andravious Smith (196-95, college: Tougaloo) added 24 points and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.

Cojute - Brujos 69-99

Brujos eased past Cojute to ensure the semifinal appearance. American forward Chris Blake (195-88, college: Detroit) fired a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-90, college: Millersville) chipped in a double-double by scoring 27 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Brujos players scored in double figures. Brujos' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American swingman Zekiah Owens (197-98, college: AIC) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and American center DAndre Downey (206, college: William Penn) added 16 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side.
