Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Metapan as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Metapan smashed 7th ranked Santiagueno at home 105-73. Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Santiagueno's 44. Metapan forced 21 Santiagueno turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Santiagueno's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Venezuelan point guard Edwin Mijares (186-1992) contributed with 26 points, 6 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 20 rebounds for Santiagueno. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Metapan (5-0) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Santiagueno at the other side dropped to the eighth place with four games lost. They share the position with Aguila. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
The game between second ranked San Salvador (5-1) and 7th ranked Santiagueno (2-4) in San Salvador ended with biggest points difference. San Salvador outscored guests from 109-62. Worth to mention a quality performance of Roberto Martinez who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 assists. Cristian Joan Duran helped adding 18 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American-Colombian center Freddy Asprilla (206-1988, college: Canisius) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for San Salvador. They maintain second place with 5-1 record having just one point less than leader Metapan. Santiagueno at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Aguila. San Salvador will play against Santa Tecla (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Santiagueno will have a break next round.

Other games in round 7 were not that significant. Chalchuapa was beaten by Santa Ana on the road 101-97. Brujos destroyed Aguila on its own court 110-83. Santa Ana managed to outperform Cojute in a road game 82-73.
