Brenden Van Dyke claims Salvadorean Liga MB Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Brenden Van Dyke (203-F-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Aguila and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 30 points and twenty six rebounds, while his team beat Brujos (#10, 1-4) 88-83. It allowed Aguila to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga MB. Aguila has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 11-1. Van Dyke turned to be Aguila's top player in his first season with the team. Emporia State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Van Dyke is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 13.2rpg) and averages solid 1.9bpg,2.7spg and 66.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Dominican Rep. shooting guard Ezequiel Perez (201-SG) of Santa Tecla. Perez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 41 points and 15 rebounds. Of course he led Santa Tecla to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Nejapa (#7, 5-8) 113-92. This victory allowed Santa Tecla to move up to 4th position in the standings. His team's 9-4 record is not bad at all. Perez is a newcomer at Santa Tecla and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Santa Tecla's star - American Christopher Blake (195-F-1988). Blake got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and five assists. He was another key player of Santa Tecla, helping his team with a 98-81 easy win against the lower-ranked Brujos (#10, 1-4). Santa Tecla needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 4 lost games. Blake has a great season in El Salvador. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 31.4ppg (best scorer). He also has 2.5spg and FGP: 64.8%.
