De Los Santos' 39-point game gives him Liga MB Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

21-year old forward Alejandro De Los Santos (193-F-2002) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Brujos and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had the game-high 39 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Brujos in his team's victory, helping them to beat Santiagueno (#7, 3-8) 79-73. Brujos is placed at 2nd position in Salvadorean Liga MB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Brujos will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. In the team's last game De Los Santos had a remarkable 78.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Brujos' top player in his first season with the team. De Los Santos has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 25.8ppg) and averages solid 2.8spg and 53.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Frankyn Batista (198-F-1999) of Santa Ana. He is Dominican Rep. forward in his first season at Santa Ana. In the last game Batista recorded impressive double-double of 33 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Santa Ana lost that game 81-90 to the higher-ranked San Salvador (#4, 8-4). Santa Ana managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Santa Ana managed to get this year. Batista is a newcomer at Santa Ana and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.2ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 18.7rpg and 5.9apg. Former Pace University star Batista is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Andravious Smith (198-G/F-1995) of Fantasmas (#3). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and eight assists. He was a key player of Fantasmas, leading his team to a 87-75 win against the lower-ranked Santa Tecla (#6, 5-9). Fantasmas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 3 lost games. Smith has a great season in El Salvador. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 31.8ppg (2nd best). He also has 2.3spg and FGP: 60.2%.
