Salvadorean Liga MB round 18 best performance: Victor Carattini- October 31, 2023
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 61 points and 10 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Chalchuapa (#9, 0-15) with 38-point margin 108-70. Santiagueno maintains the 8th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 11 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game Carattini had a remarkable 64.5% from 2-point range. He turned to be Santiagueno's top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Puerto Rico Bayamon star has very solid stats this year. Carattini is in league's top in points (4th best: 28.9ppg). The second best player in last round's games was young Adonis Lopez (F-1997) of league's leader Brujos. Lopez had a very good evening with a double-double of 32 points and 16 rebounds. Of course Brujos cruised to a 88-79 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Fantasmas (#4, 10-5). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Brujos consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just three games this season, while they won 12 matches. Lopez is a newcomer at Brujos, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was American swingman Shian Bradshaw (194-F/G-1995) of Santa Ana (#7). Bradshaw got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for eleven rebounds . Despite Bradshaw's great performance Santa Ana lost 81-106 to the higher-ranked Cojute (#2, 12-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Santa Ana can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 5-12 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Bradshaw has a very solid season. In 7 games in El Salvador he scored 24.4ppg. He also has 10.3rpg and FGP: 55.4%. Other top performing players last week: 4. Frankyn Batista (198-F-1999) of Santa Ana - 32 points and 14 rebounds 5. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
