Liga MB Round 3 (Regular Season): Cojute lose their first game against Santa Tecla

After 3 rounds played we can already see who rules in the Liga MB and who belongs to weaker ones. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Cojute (1-1) on the court of Santa Tecla on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by Santa Tecla 72-61. It was a great evening for American swingman Andravious Smith (198-1995, college: Tougaloo) who led his team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Dominican center Cristian Lora-Oliver (208-2000, college: Hillsborough) helped adding 12 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American center Troidell Carter (206-1991, college: Slippery Rock) with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Santa Tecla is looking forward to face Metapan (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cojute will play against Salvadorenos in San Salvador and is hoping to win this game.
Important game to mention about took place in . Salvadorenos (3-0) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging A.Lobos (1-2) 64-61 on Tuesday evening. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Marco Menjivar accounted for 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guatemalan point guard David Vasquez (-1992, college: Umpqua CC) came up with 21 points and 7 rebounds for A.Lobos in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Salvadorenos will play against Cojute (#4) in Cojutepeque in the next round. A.Lobos will play on the road against Santiagueno in Usultan to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game between Top Four teams took place in San Salvador. host San Salvador (3-0) smashed Santa Tecla (1-2) 107-77. The best player for the winners was Alejandro Barahona who scored 24 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Andravious Smith who recorded 41 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. San Salvador will meet Santa Ana (#5) on the road in the next round. Santa Tecla will play against Metapan and hope to win that game.
