The game between Top Four teams took place in Metapan. Third ranked host Metapan (12-3) defeated 4th placed Salvadorenos (8-7) 91-86. Metapan looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) who led his team to a victory scoring 36 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. American JD Weatherspoon (198-1992, college: Toledo) helped adding 24 points and 17 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. Metapan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 12-3 record having just one point less than leader San Salvador. Salvadorenos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Fifth ranked Cojute (8-6) beat at home 7th ranked A.Lobos (4-10) by 11 points 67-56, which is the biggest margin this round. It was a quality performance for forward Pablo Figueroa (186-2000) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Frankyn Batista accounted for 6 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists. American point guard Robert Story (183, college: WSSU) came up with 21 points for A.Lobos in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cojute moved-up to fourth place. A.Lobos at the other side keep the seventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Brujos.
