Cojute - Santa Ana 80-57

Cojute dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana's 38. They outrebounded Santa Ana 53-37 including 40 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Dominican forward Frankyn Batista (198-1999, college: Pace) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 29 rebounds. American center Troidell Carter (206-1991, college: Slippery Rock) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Batista is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Cojute players scored in double figures. American Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Abdulbasit Ajia (200-1999) added 9 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Dominican guard Nargenis Ulloa (182-1997) orchestrated the victory by scoring 31 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Dominican forward Adonis Lopez (-1997) contributed with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Alberto Liriano (-1998) replied with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) added 18 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Metapan.
