An interesting game for San Salvador (13-0) which played road game in Santa Ana against 3rd ranked Santa Ana (9-4). Top-ranked San Salvador had an easy win 83-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Santa Ana. San Salvador forced 19 Santa Ana turnovers. Strangely Santa Ana outrebounded San Salvador 45-31 including 35 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds. Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guatemalan point guard Lee Vasquez (173) replied with 32 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for Santa Ana. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated San Salvador have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-0 record. Santa Ana at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Brujos maintains eleventh position with 1-13 record. Independiente at the other side keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. Even a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds by William Merino did not help to save the game for Cojute. Cojute's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. A.Lobos have an impressive six-game winning streak.
