Cubillas' double-double lands him Liga MB Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

30-year old Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team San Salvador BC and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 30 points and 21 rebounds, while his team edged out Metapan (#5, 8-5) 102-100. It allowed San Salvador to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga MB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and San Salvador keeps a perfect 13-0 record. In the team's last game Cubillas had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at San Salvador, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Cubillas has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 25.6ppg) and averages solid 2.2bpg,2.8spg and 61.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Darnell Johnson (201-G) of Independiente. He is American guard in his first season at Independiente. In the last game Johnson recorded an impressive double-double of 36 points and 22 rebounds. Bad luck as Independiente lost that game 82-87 to the higher-ranked Santiagueno (#7, 7-8). Independiente is still in a red zone at 10th spot in the standings. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Independiente managed to get this year. Johnson is one of the most experienced players at Independiente and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.1ppg (#6). He also registered 16.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Marvin Cairo (203-C-1991) of AD Isidro Metapan (#5). Cairo got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for nine rebounds and six assists. Despite Cairo's great performance the Metapan lost 100-102 to the league's current leader San Salvador (#1, 13-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Metapan needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 5 lost games. Cairo has a very solid season. In 12 games in El Salvador he scored 20.6ppg. He also has 11.8rpg, 1.2bpg, a FGP of 66.7% and 3PT: 44.6%.
