San Salvador celebrate Liga MB title - Dec 9, 2019

San Salvador - Quezaltepeque 96-75

San Salvador claimed Liga MB title. They beat Quezaltepeque to win the championship series 3-1. San Salvador made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when San Salvador made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized American point guard Robert Martinez (185-91, college: Our Lady Lake) who helped to win the game recording 31 points (made all of his seven free throws) and Colombian guard Michaell Jackson (196-87) who added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Martinez is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. At the losing side Cuban Jordanis Jaca (195-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and O Torres scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
