Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Top ranked San Salvador (10-2) recorded its second loss on the court of third ranked Santa Tecla on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Santa Tecla 99-92. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of San Salvador. Santa Tecla forced 21 San Salvador turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by San Salvador helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Cuban Lisvan Valdez (200-88) fired 36 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Josue Avila (198-98) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Santa Tecla's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Christopher Blake (196-88, college: Detroit Mercy) produced 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for lost side. Santa Tecla (9-3) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place behind leader San Salvador. San Salvador at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Santa Tecla are looking forward to face 11 Lobos (#5) in Chalchuapa in the next round. San Salvador will play on the road against the league's second-placed Quezaltepeque (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another exciting game was played in Cojutepeque between eighth ranked Cojute and 4th placed 11 Lobos where host Cojute (2-9) won against 11 Lobos (5-8) 101-87. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Patrick Wrencher (198-95, college: St.Francis, PA) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 23 rebounds. Jose Ortiz contributed with 28 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Canadian guard Ryan Bennett (193, college: Brock) answered with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds for 11 Lobos. Cojute maintains eighth place with 2-9 record. 11 Lobos at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Cojute will play against higher ranked Brujos Izalco (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. 11 Lobos will play against Santa Tecla and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 13 Santa Ana was defeated by Brujos Izalco in a road game 85-81.

His fellow American import guard Jose Ortiz (194, college: Delaware Valley) contributed with 28 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Cojute players scored in double figures. Brujos Izalco - Santa Ana 85-81

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Santa Ana (3-9) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Brujos Izalco (5-6) 85-81. Brujos Izalco had a 43-28 advantage in offensive rebounds. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a very good performance for Puerto Rican point guard Tjader Fernandez (178-94) who helped to win the game recording 42 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Cuban Orestes Torres (204-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Tim Simmons (196, college: Dallas Baptist) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and Puerto Rican point guard Lee Vazquez (173-91, college: Westfield St.) added 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Santa Ana. The victory was the third consecutive win for Brujos Izalco. They moved-up to fourth place. Santa Ana lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Brujos Izalco will play against bottom-ranked Cojute (#8) in Cojutepeque in the next round. Santa Ana will play at home against Isidro Metapan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Nift Al-Janoub (IBL) inked American forward Nigel Grant (201-111kg, college: UNC Pembroke). He joins another USA player Darious Clark which is already in the roster. Grant played in the summer at San Salvador BC in Salvadorean Liga MB. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
