There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked San Marcos as it allowed them to take a leadership position. San Marcos defeated 5th ranked Nejapa at home 80-67. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Nejapa. San Marcos forced 26 Nejapa turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Ronald Flores who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Willian Merino (-0) who added 20 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. San Marcos' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American swingman Demetrius Thomas (203, college: Cerritos JC) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 24 rebounds. San Marcos have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Nejapa at the other side keeps the fifth place with eight games lost. Nejapa will play next round against Brujos Izalco trying to get back on the winning streak. San Marcos will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked ABA in Apopa.
Eighth-ranked Chalchuapa (5-11) gave a tough game to first ranked Halcones (14-2). The visitors from Sonzacate managed to secure only one-point victory 84-83. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by swingman Luis Valle (190-97) who scored that evening 36 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Sameen Swint supported him with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 30 points and 19 rebounds by Anthoni Ortriz did not help to save the game for Chalchuapa. Halcones have an impressive five-game winning streak. Despite that victory Halcones went down to second position due to points difference. Chalchuapa lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost. Halcones will play against Ahuachapan (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Chalchuapa will play against Pinitos BC in Ahuachapan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
