Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

Top ranked San Marcos (17-3) recorded its third loss in Santa Tecla on Monday night. Visitors were edged by third ranked ExSAL ST (14-5) 69-66. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of San Marcos. Guard Emilio Abullarade (186-89) fired 26 points for the winners. Forward Daniel Rivas (184-0) chipped in 12 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Herbert Navas (188-90) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for lost side. San Marcos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. ExSAL ST have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 14-5 record having four points less than leader San Marcos. San Marcos at the other side still keep top position with three games lost.
Leader San Marcos delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked Arcense (11-6) 89-82. Worth to mention a great performance of Ronald Flores who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 7 rebounds. Roger Diaz contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. San Marcos' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Teodoro Romero (-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds for Arcense. San Marcos (17-3) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place. Arcense at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost.
The game in Izalco was also quite interesting. Second ranked Halcones (16-3) played at the court of 6th ranked Brujos Izalco (10-8). Halcones managed to secure a 4-point victory 89-85 on Monday. It was a great evening for Sameen Swint who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side Jameel Best responded with a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!), 24 rebounds and 6 blocks. Defending champion maintains second place with 16-3 record behind leader San Marcos. Loser Brujos Izalco keeps the sixth position with eight games lost.

Brujos Izalco - Chalchuapa 88-68

The game with biggest result difference took place in Izalco. Local Brujos Izalco (10-8) outscored 8th ranked Chalchuapa (6-12) 88-68. Brujos Izalco dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Chalchuapa's 36. They outrebounded Chalchuapa 46-30 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for American center Jameel Best (206-94, college: Miss.Valley St., agency: Epic Sports Consulting LLC) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds (on 18-of-23 shooting from the field). Guard Samuel Leon (173-93) accounted for 11 points, 9 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. Brujos Izalco's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Bryan Garcia came up with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Erick Rojas added 22 points and 4 assists respectively for Chalchuapa in the defeat. Brujos Izalco maintains sixth place with 10-8 record. Chalchuapa at the other side keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost.

Halcones forced 25 Brujos Izalco turnovers. Strangely Brujos Izalco outrebounded Halcones 53-31 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Halcones made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for American guard Sameen Swint (193, college: Goldey-Beacom) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Luis Valle (190-97) helped adding 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Nift Al-Janoub (IBL) inked American forward Nigel Grant (201-111kg, college: UNC Pembroke). He joins another USA player Darious Clark which is already in the roster.
Grant played in the summer at San Salvador BC in Salvadorean Liga MB. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. The last season Grant played at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in NCAA2 in the NCAA2 where in 33 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16
