Jeremy Agosto claims Salvadorean Liga MB Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Jeremy Agosto (177-G-1997) had a great game in the last round for Club de Baloncesto Cojute and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 27-year old guard had the game-high 35 points adding three rebounds and nine assists for Cojute in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Brujos (#8, 3-6) with 26-point margin 101-75. Cojute maintains the 4th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Cojute will need more victories to improve their 6-3 record. In the team's last game Agosto had a remarkable 81.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Cojute's top player in his first season with the team. Agosto has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 27.7ppg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 63.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American swingman Andravious Smith (198-G/F-1995) of Independiente. Smith impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 41 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Independiente was edged by slightly higher-ranked Salvadorenos (#5, 5-4) 75-73. This loss caused Independiente to drop to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-5 record. Smith is a newcomer at Independiente and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.6ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 10.6rpg and 3.4apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Sean Scott (190-F-1997) of top-ranked A.Lobos BKB. Scott showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of A.Lobos, leading his team to a 90-71 easy win against #4 ranked Cojute in a game of the week. A.Lobos confirms their top position in the standings. Scott has a great season in El Salvador. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.4apg (9th best). He also has 2.8spg and a FGP of 56.7%.
