Parra's double-double lands him Liga MB Player of the Week award

29-year old Colombian power forward Michael Parra (201-PF-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for Salvadorenos BC and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 22 rebounds, while his team crushed Santa Tecla (#9, 2-7) with 17-point margin 76-59. Salvadorenos maintains the 5th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Salvadorenos will need more victories to improve their 5-4 record. In the team's last game Parra had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He turned to be Salvadorenos' top player in his first season with the team. Parra has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 16.1rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Freddy Asprilla (206-C-1988) of Ahuachapan BC. He is American-Colombian center in his first season at Ahuachapan. In the last game Asprilla recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 23 rebounds. Bad luck as Ahuachapan lost that game 88-98 to the higher-ranked Santa Ana (#6, 3-5). Ahuachapan are still at the very bottom. 9 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Asprilla is a newcomer at Ahuachapan and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Andravious Smith (198-G/F-1995) of Independiente (#8). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and seven assists. Despite Smith's great performance the Independiente lost 79-97 to the higher-ranked Metapan (#2, 7-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Independiente not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Smith could try to bring Independiente's a little bit higher in the standings. Smith has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.8ppg (best scorer).
