Garcia's double-double lands him Liga MB Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old power forward Brayan Garcia (194-F/C-1998) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked San Salvador BC and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 31 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Cojute (#4, 8-5) with 21-point margin 94-73. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. San Salvador is placed at 2nd position in Salvadorean Liga MB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. San Salvador will need more victories to improve their 10-3 record. In the team's last game Garcia had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be San Salvador's top player in his first season with the team. Garcia has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 11.8rpg), assists (9th best: 4.3apg) and averages solid 54.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Freddy Asprilla (206-C-1988) of Ahuachapan BC. He is American-Colombian center in his first season at Ahuachapan. In the last game Asprilla recorded an impressive double-double of 21 points and 25 rebounds. Of course he led Ahuachapan to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Santa Tecla (#9, 2-11) 112-86. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Ahuachapan is still at the dead bottom 10th position. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Ahuachapan managed to get this year. Asprilla is a newcomer at Ahuachapan and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Marcus Millien (188-G-2000) of Brujos Izalco (#7). Millien got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds . He was a key player of Brujos, leading his team to a 86-85 win against slightly lower-ranked Santa Tecla (#9, 2-11). The chances of Brujos ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Millien could help Brujos to bring them higher in the standings. Millien has a great season in El Salvador. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.4ppg (4th best). He also has 3.0spg and a FGP of 51.2%.
