Salvadorean Liga MB round 14 best performance: Yoel Cubillas

Cuban Forward Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked AD Isidro Metapan, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed Santa Tecla (#9, 2-12) with 31-point margin 100-69. It allowed Metapan to take over top position in the Salvadorean Liga MB. Metapan have a solid 11-2 record. In the team's last game Cubillas had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Metapan and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Yoel Cubillas has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 27.3ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 16.7rpg) and averages impressive 3.3bpg and 71.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Marc Montavious (206-C-1990) of league's second-best KK Feniks 2010 Skopje. Montavious had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 21 rebounds. Of course he led Feniks 2010 to another comfortable win 83-67 over the lower-ranked Brujos (#7, 5-8) being unquestionably team leader. Feniks 2010' second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 11 matches. Montavious is a newcomer at Feniks 2010, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Metapan's star - Puerto Rican forward Xavier Zambrana (193-F-1991). Zambrana scored 28 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was another key player of AD Isidro Metapan, helping his team with a 100-69 easy win against the lower-ranked Santa Tecla (#9, 2-12). Metapan confirms their top position in the standings. Zambrana has a great season in El Salvador. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.2ppg (9th best), rebounds with 12.4rpg (6th best) and assists with 6.0apg (3rd best).
