Salvadorean Liga MB round 17 best performance: Francisco Alvarez (by Hoops Agents)

Dominican Rep.-American Power forward Francisco Alvarez (203-PF) put on an amazing game in the last round for Club de Baloncesto Cojute, receiving a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 17.
The player had a double-double of 22 points and 22 rebounds, while his team crushed Brujos (#11, 2-17) with 17-point margin 94-77. Cojute is placed at 6th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Cojute is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-9 record. Alvarez just recently signed at Cojute, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Francisco Alvarez averages just after three games 14.3ppg and 14.7rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was American Darnell Johnson (201-G) of Independiente. Johnson had a very good evening with a double-double of 39 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Independiente lost that game 88-112 to the higher-ranked Santa Tecla (#7, 9-9). Independiente is still in a red zone at 10th spot in the standings. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Independiente managed to get this year. Johnson is one of the most experienced players at Independiente and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.1ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 16.6rpg and 3.1apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Cojute's star - American swingman Shian Bradshaw (194-F/G-1995). Bradshaw got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for fourteen rebounds . He was another key player of Club de Baloncesto Cojute, helping his team with a 94-77 easy win against the lower-ranked Brujos (#11, 2-17). Cojute needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 9 lost games. Bradshaw has a very solid season. In 8 games in El Salvador he scored 21.5ppg. He also has 9.9rpg and a FGP of 53.7%.
