Cubillas' double-double lands him Liga MB Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

30-year old Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994) had a great game in the last round for league's best team San Salvador BC and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 19.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds, while his team outclassed Brujos (#11, 2-18) with 54-point margin 124-70. It allowed San Salvador to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga MB. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and San Salvador keeps a perfect 19-0 record. In the team's last game Cubillas had a remarkable 83.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at San Salvador, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Cubillas has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 27.1ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 16.5rpg) and averages solid 2.2bpg,2.4spg and 68.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jerome Savoy (185-G) of Ahuachapan BC. He is American guard in his first season at Ahuachapan. In the last game Savoy recorded an impressive double-double of 49 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Ahuachapan lost that game 78-109 to the higher-ranked Metapan (#2, 15-5). Ahuachapan is still second from the bottom in the standings. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just five victories Ahuachapan managed to get this year. Savoy is one of the most experienced players at Ahuachapan and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 32.1ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 9.7rpg and 4.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Ajang Aguek (201-G/F-2000) of A.Lobos BKB (#3). Aguek scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of A.Lobos, leading his team to a 88-73 easy win against the lower-ranked Santa Tecla (#8, 9-11). A.Lobos needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 14 victories and 4 lost games. Aguek has a great season in El Salvador. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.4ppg (8th best) and rebounds with 15.0rpg (5th best). He also has 2.4bpg and a FGP of 64.3%.
