Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to A.Lobos' 28. Metapan forced 20 A.Lobos turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Naturalized American center Cameron Lard (206-1997, college: Iowa St.) contributed with 23 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Metapan players scored in double figures. Dominican Alejandro Quezada (195-1995) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Ajang Aguek (201-2000, college: Lander) added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for A.Lobos. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Santa Ana outrebounded San Salvador 47-34 including a 38-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Santa Ana looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American swingman Eddie Ishman (197-1986, college: Miles) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guatemalan point guard Lee Vasquez (173) chipped in 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Santa Ana players scored in double figures. Power forward Brayan Garcia (194-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds and Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) added 26 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
