Nick Moore claims Salvadorean Liga MB Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American Nick Moore (198-PF-1991) put on an amazing game in the last round for ITD Santa Tecla BC and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 34-year old power forward had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team outclassed Ahuachapan (#5, 1-1) with 38-point margin 100-62. Santa Tecla is placed at 3rd position in Salvadorean Liga MB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Santa Tecla will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. Moore turned to be Santa Tecla's top player in his first season with the team.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young guard Edgar Contreras (179-G-2001) of league's best team AD Isidro Metapan. Contreras impressed basketball fans with 27 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Metapan to another comfortable win outscoring Brujos (0-3) 107-47. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Contreras is well-known by Metapan fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Metapan's star - Alejandro Barahona (189-F-1999). Barahona showcased his all-around game by recording 19 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in the last round. He was another key player of AD Isidro Metapan, helping his team with a 107-47 easy win against Brujos (#11, 0-3). Metapan has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Barahona also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Barahona has a great season in El Salvador. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.5apg (5th best).

9. Edwin Cornejo (195-F-1999) of Santa Tecla - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
10. E.J. Blackwell (193-G) of Ahuachapan - 19 points and 5 rebounds
