Kordell Brown claims Salvadorean Liga MB Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Kordell Brown (203-F, agency: Fully Feared Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Ahuachapan BC and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 8.
The forward had a double-double of 27 points and 22 rebounds, while his team beat Brujos (#11, 0-8), the league's bottom-ranked team 77-71. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Ahuachapan maintains the 10th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 5 games and had just two victories. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Ahuachapan's top player in his first season with the team. Columbus State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brown is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.2ppg), rebounds (5th best: 14.0rpg) and averages solid 62.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Marc Montavious (202-C-1990) of second-ranked A.Lobos BKB. Montavious impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds. Of course A.Lobos cruised to a 72-63 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Santa Ana (#6, 3-4). This victory allowed A.Lobos to move up to second position in the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Montavious is a newcomer at A.Lobos and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Cuban Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994) of San Salvador BC (#3). Cubillas scored 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of San Salvador, leading his team to a 72-69 win against the lower-ranked Independiente (#8, 2-4). San Salvador is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 5-1 record is not that bad... Cubillas has a great season in El Salvador. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.0ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 18.5rpg (2nd best). He also has 2.3spg, 3.2bpg and a FGP of 68.3%.
