Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-C-1991) was the top scorer of the day in the world with the 37 points he had in the Salvadorean Liga MB. His excellent performance made his team Metapan beat the MC El Brasil Santa Ana 86 to 67. He also grabbed 14 rebounds that game. Among many awards he won the Nicaraguan Torneo Carlos Ulloa championship title in 2023. Cairo was also selected as the Latinbasket AllEl Salvador Liga Mayor Torneo Clausura Player of the Year as well as the Import Player of the Year and was selected to the First Team back in 2019.
