The most exciting game of round 4 in the Liga Mayor took place in Santa Tecla. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked L.M.Mons. (2-3) to seventh ranked Santa Tecla (1-3) 76-73 on Tuesday evening. Santa Tecla looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Ecuadorian point guard Leyda Macias (165-1983) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Melany Sanchez (167-2004) contributed with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Dominican swingman Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for L.M.Mons.Santa Tecla left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Ahuachapan. L.M.Mons. at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost.

Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban center Rachel Contreras (184-1999) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists and Monica Aristondo who added 25 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Dominican swingman Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Metapan have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. L.M.Mons. at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Metapan will play against bottom-ranked Capitalinas (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. L.M.Mons. will have a break next round.

Ahuachapan's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 13 points and 7 rebounds by Jaylin Cruz did not help to save the game for Capitalinas. Despite that victory Ahuachapan went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with Santa Tecla. It was Capitalinas' fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Ahuachapan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Capitalinas will play against the league's leader Metapan (#1) and hope to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 4 San Salvador smashed Ahuachapan on the road 93-60.

An interesting game for Metapan (4-0) which played road game in Santa Ana against 4th ranked L.M.Mons. (2-3). Top-ranked Metapan managed to get a 6-point victory 75-69. San Salvador outrebounded Ahuachapan 50-32 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. San Salvador looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Ahuachapan's players. The winners were led by Anisleidy Galindo who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 27 rebounds and 5 assists and Cuban point guard Arlenys Romero (176-1984) supported her with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. Five San Salvador players scored in double figures. Even 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Cuban swingman Maria Montero (176-1998) did not help to save the game for Ahuachapan.
