Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994) was the top scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 37 points he had in the Salvadorean Liga MB. His excellent performance made his team Metapan beat the Ahuachapan 99 to 89. He also added 17 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals that evening. Cubillas is the 2nd best scorer in the league averaging almost 26 points and over 11 rebounds per game. Among many awards his team won the El Salvador Liga Mayor Apertura Regular Season in 2025. He was also selected as the Latinbasket All El Salvador Liga Mayor Torneo Clausura Player of the Year and Import Player of the Year back in 2025. He was also awarded Player of the Week in the Salvadorean Liga MB 3 times already this season.
