Cubillas' double-double lands him Liga MB Player of the Week award

31-year old Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-F-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team AD Isidro Metapan and receives a Hoops Agents Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had a double-double of 37 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Ahuachapan (#9, 1-10) 99-89. It allowed Metapan to consolidate first place in the Salvadorean Liga MB. Metapan has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 10-1. In the team's last game Cubillas had a remarkable 60.9% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Metapan, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Cubillas has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (2nd best: 25.7ppg), rebounds (7th best: 11.5rpg) and averages solid 2.2bpg,3.3spg and 63.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Dhol Majak (208-F/C-2000, agency: Interperformances) of MC El Brasil Santa Ana. He is American forward in his first season at Santa Ana. In the last game Majak recorded an impressive double-double of 24 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as Santa Ana was edged by the higher-ranked Brujos (#6, 6-5) 70-68. This loss caused Santa Ana to slide to the very bottom (10) position in the standings. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Santa Ana managed to get this year. Majak is one of the most experienced players at Santa Ana and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Marc Montavious (202-C-1990) of league's second-best A.Lobos BKB. Montavious got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for twenty rebounds . He was a key player of A.Lobos, leading his team to a 74-51 easy win against #3 ranked San Salvador in a game of the week. A.Lobos needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 3 lost games. Montavious has a great season in El Salvador. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.1ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 14.4rpg (3rd best). He also has 2.0bpg and a FGP of 66.9%. Marc Montavious has also Salvadorean passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
