The Draw held in San Juan

The draw for the Fiba Americas U16 Championship was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The tournament is scheduled to take place from June 19th to 23rd in Cancun, Mexico. Eight teams were drawn into two preliminary round groups. The tournament will serve as the qualifying round for U17 World Championship.

Group A: USA, Brazil, Costa Rica, Argentina
Group B: Canada, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Mexico.
