Mexico - Argentina 68-57
Mexico held off Argentina to take 2-0 record in Group A. Valeria Navarrete (162-PG) stepped up with 13 points, 5 boards and 5 assists for the hosts. Mexico eked out a 27:24 halftime advantage. The hosts went on a 25:14 run in the third term to clear off for good. Patricia Ayala (181-PF), Diana Cano (186-C) and Maria Ruiz (171-SG) finished with 10 points each for the home team. Candela Foresto (163-G-99) responded with 12 points for Argentina.

USA - Honduras 86-41
Team USA earned the second straigth victory in Group A. They cruised past Honduras to stay undefeated. Honesty Scott-Grayson (178-G) posted 18 points to lead the winners. Honduras grabbed a surprising 13:12 lead after ten minutes. But USA went on a 26:7 run in the second frame to gain a 38:20 halftime lead. They never looked back en route to the win. Jayda Adams (180-F) and Sedona Prince (201-C) had 10 points each for the winners. Nelly Leva (171-PG) responded with 21 points for Honduras.

Group B
Brazil - Cuba 82-50
Brazil toppled Cuba for the second victory in Puebla. Izabela Nicoletti (170-G-99) accounted for 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Brazil accumulated a 35:23 halftime advantage. Brazil extended the margin in the third term. They built a 20-point buffer heading into the fourth quarter. Clarissa Fernandes (180-C) tallied 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists, while Emanuely De Oliveira (180-SG) netted 10 points in the win. Daymaris Millet (168-G) answered with 17 points for Cuba. Elianis Armentero (175-PF) had 12 points in the defeat.

Canada - Venezuela 76-45
Canada cruised past Venezuela for the second consecutive victory in Puebla. Taya Hanson (170-PG) scored 11 points to lead the North American team. Canada established a comfortable 38:23 halftime advantage. Canada stretched the gap in the third term. The North American accumulated a 24-point buffer at the final intermission and marched to the victory in the fourth term. Hailey Brown (185-F-99), Shaina Pellington (168-PG) and Macaela Crone (185-C) delivered 10 points each in the victory. Josberly Torres (169-SF) answered with 14 points for Venezuela. Aguehil Fajardo (183-PF) tossed in 12 points in the defeat.
