USA and Canada to clash for title in Buenos Aires

USA - Argentina 98-42
Team USA eased past Argentina into the championship game. Five players scored in double digits for the winners. Celeste Taylor (180-F) and Zia Cooke (175-G/F) delivered 12 points each for the USA. They built a 40:27 halftime lead. Team USA dropped 58 points in the second half and cruised to the victory. Jordan Horston (183-F/C) and Caitlin Clark (180-F) had 11 points each in the win. Victoria Gauna and Sofia Acevedo replied with 12 points apiece for Argentina.

Canada - Colombia 64-38
Canada thumped Colombia to ensure Final birth in Buenos Aires. Merissah Russell (180-F-02) scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds to pace well-balanced effort for the North American side. Canada registered a 31:21 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 19-point mark at the final break and marched to the win in the fourth quarter. Yvonne Ejim (182-PF-02) provided 8 points for the winners. Luisa Quesada (172-SG-01) responded with 10 points for Colombia.
5-8 Place
Mexico - Dominican Republic 102-45
Mexico coasted past Dominican Republic to set up the clash versus Venezuela for the fifth overall position. Katia Gallegos (166-SF-01) recorded 21 points and 11 assists to lead the winners. Mexico accounted for a 61:21 halftime advantage and never looked back en route to the win. Ingrid Mendez (168-SG-01) tossed in 16 points for the winning side. Naomy Cueva (176-F-01) responded with 10 points and 9 boards for Dominican Republic.

Venezuela - Puerto Rico 62-61
Venezuela survived the second half rally from Puerto Rico to eke out a narrow victory. Jairennys Arias (170-G-01) scored 19 points to lead the winners. Venezuela recorded a 35:23 halftime lead. Puerto Rico narrowed the gap at 7-point mark heading into the final term. Puerto Rico pulled closer in the fourth period but could not avoid the defeat. Yulianny Perez (175-F-01) had 14 points, 8 boards and 5 assists for the winners. Marieliz Martinez (170-SF-01) responded with 14 points for Puerto Rico.
