USA clinched the title in Aysen. They beat the North American rivals Canada in the Final. USA grabbed a 45:14 halftime lead. They went on a 25:9 run in the third term to clear off for good. Payton Verhulst (185-G-03) produced 18 points, while Sonia Citron (185-G-03) added 13 points for the winners. Avianna Thompson (178-F-03) replied with 10 points for Canada.
3-4 Place
Chile - Puerto Rico 59-49
Chile stepped onto the pedestal in Aysen. The hosts prevailed against Puerto Rico on Saturday to earn the Bronze medals. Puerto Rico posted a 17:9 lead ten minutes into the game. But Chile replied with an 18:2 run in the third quarter to surge ahead. They protected the lead throughout the fourth stanza and iced the win. Fernanda Ovalle (175-G-03) came up with 19 points and 16 rebounds for Chile. Barbara Torres (168-PG-03) added 12 points in the win. Nina De Leon (165-G-03) topscored with 27 points for Puerto Rico.
5-6 Place
Ecuador - Brazil 59-47
Ecuador finished their campaign on a high note. They rallied past Brazil to earn the fifth overall position. Ecuador dominated in the first half. They accumulated a 39:25 halftime advantage. Brazil managed to narrow the gap in the second half but could not avoid the loss. Blanca Quinonez (185-SF-06) posted 20 points and 7 rebounds, while Evelyn Pilay (178-F-03) added 13 points and 9 rebounds for Ecuador. Vitoria Carvalho (185-C-03) replied with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Brazil.
7-8 Place
El Salvador - Mexico 38-61
Mexico earned the seventh position at the tournament as they beat El Salvador on the final day. Mariana Valenzuela (03) came up with 13 points and 17 rebounds for Mexico. Evelyn Quiroz (03) added 15 points in the win. Mexico piled up a 33:20 halftime lead and never looked back afterwards. Silvia Vega (184-F-03) and Amanda Williams (175-G-03) delivered 11 points each for El Salvador.
