USA claimed the third consecutive win in Merida as they stunned the hosts. Six players scored in double digits for the winners. Jayla Jackson (185-F-2008) and Jerzy Robinson (185-G-2008) scored 17 points each for the USA. The North American team grabbed a 71-17 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the win. Sandra Acuna (168-G-2007) replied with 6 points for Mexico.
Puerto Rico - Colombia 67-62
Puerto Rico held off Colombia to finish in the second position in Group A. Colombia enjoyed a 39-32 halftime lead. But Puerto Rico limited their opponents to just 23 points in the second half and snatched a tough win at the end. Jaida Guerra (155-SG-2007) tossed in 21 points, while Desirek Nieves (170-SG-2007) had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Puerto Rico. Marta Moscarella (180-F-2007) replied with 22 points for Colombia.
Brazil - Dominican Republic 71-62
Brazil toppled Dominican Republic to gain the first win in Mexico. Micaela Cavalcanti (164-PG-2008) nailed 19 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and issued 7 assists for the winners. Brazil opened the game on a 25-13 run. They followed with a 20-9 rally in the third term to clear off for good. Sofia Borges (180-F-2007) had 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Arianna Mercado (165-G-2007) tossed in 15 points for Dominican Republic.
Argentina - Canada 45-92
Canada stormed past Argentina for the third straight win at the tournament. Deniya Prawl (182-G-2007) produced 15 points for the winners. Canada grabbed a 44-30 halftime advantage. They went on a 30-9 run in the third term to take an unassailable lead. Chance Berry (176-G-2009) provided 14 points for the winning side. Sol Depetris (170-SG-2007) answered with 9 points for Argentina.
