Puerto Rico outgunned Brazil to advance into the semifinal stage. Brazil went on a 17-5 run in the second term to take a 28-22 halftime lead. But Puerto Rico used a 35-21 second half run to snatch the win. Desirek Nieves (170-SG-2007) scored 26 points and 8 rebounds for Puerto Rico. Micaela Cavalcanti (164-PG-2008) answered with 14 points for Brazil.
Argentina - Colombia 55-54
Argentina nipped Colombia in the quarterfinal clash. Colombia posted a 32-28 halftime advantage. Argentina however limited Colombia to just 8 points in the third term to take a narrow one-point advantage. It all came down to the final seconds in this one. Milagros Morell (191-F-2007) sank a decisive free throw with under a minute remaining to seal the win for Argentina. She finished with 19 points and 17 rebounds, while Isabella Ingenito (175-SG-2007) added 18 points for Argentina. Colombia answered with 19 points from Stephanie Vega (175-SG-2007).
USA - Dominican Republic 106-34
USA coasted past Dominican Republic in the quarterfinal clash. USA grabbed a 51-21 halftime lead. They unloaded 55 points in the second half to ease to the victory. Aaliyah Crump (185-G-2007) notched 16 points, while Jerzy Robinson (185-G-2008) added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Karina Capellan (173-SG-2007) netted 8 points for Dominican Republic.
Canada - Mexico 71-44
Cearah Parchment (184-F-2007) tallied 16 points and 10 rebounds as Canada stormed past Mexico in the quarterfinal clash. Canada piled up a 39-18 halftime advantage. The North American team stretched the margin at 28-point mark heading into the fourth quarter and never looked back en route to the win. Deniya Prawl (182-G-2007) had 11 points for Canada. Mariant Castillo (182-C-2007) answered with 19 points and 7 rebounds for Mexico.
